'Punch light' by Reinhard Dienes
The young German designer Reinhard Dienes has recently unveiled this series of curiously-detailed stainless steel lamps called ‘Punch’. The design, which can be used either as a pendant or a table light, is characterised by the unusual punched-through diffuser suspended from an angular, powder-coated steel structure.

Available in variety of colours, ‘Punch light’ is currently on show at the Stilwerk limited edition design gallery in Hamburg as part of the Projektraum 1.0 – Design an der Schnittstelle zur Kunst exhibition which showcases ‘handpicked prototypes and new objects designed by eight remarkable newcomer talents from industrial, product and fashion design’.
