The Parisian-based designer Florent Coirier has recently unveiled his latest table lamp design called ‘Polka.’ Exhibited for the first time during this year’s edition of the Paris Design Week, the simple turned-oak light incorporates the LED technology while its concealed pivoting joint enables full 360 degree rotation of the lamp.
More about the design:
‘Polka is a table lamp made of turned oak.Two elements in wood, with oblong shapes are put in balance, connected by a few millimeters of surface. Creating an apparent instability, it hides a possibility of infinite movements and positions. Two balls are clamped inside the wood, and allow 360 ° rotation of 18 ° of inclination, preserving the function of a good desk lamp. As the polka, two bodies dance with lightness in an aerial ballet. Turned oak and stained.’
