‘NewspaperWood’ is an ingenious upcycled material developed by the young designer and Eindhoven-graduate Meike Meijer who by gluing together multiple layers of old newspapers has reversed the traditional process of paper-making.

The new versatile material, which can be treated like any type of natural wood, has been employed in a number of prototype designs created for the Vij5 collection.
