The Italian industrial designer and Slamp‘s long-time collaborator Stefano Papi has realised this intricate pendant light which was presented earlier this year during Milan’s international lighting fair Euroluce. Inspired by Michelangelo’s starburst paving pattern adorning the Roman Piazza del Campidoglio, the polycarbonate ’Morgana‘ lampshade ‘magically’ dangles midair thanks to the invisible wire and the design is available in four colourways: black, white, orange and blue.
More about the design:
‘Magical and legendary, Morgana enchants with simple and refined games of seduction. The invisible wire it’s suspended to, makes it magically flutter into space. The downward light, screened from an hidden light source, emphasizes shade effects of the dégradé colour. Looking at Morgana from below, a magic perspective, inspired by Rome’s Campidoglio square rose, takes shape.
A lamp with a unique design which luminous seduction is combined with its shapes. ‘
