The Milan-based industrial designer Eddie Figueroa Feliciano has realised this wooden container system which stems from an idea of the simple architecture building system commonly found in Puerto Rican and Caribbean Islands Favelas prior to the industrialisation processes that were introduced after the Second World War.
More about the design:
‘The idea is to use the same simple elements to create 3 different pieces, and situations. Zanco becomes a multifunctional container with a high table and some 50X50 cm containers made out in flexible woven nylon nets, allowing the possibility to be removable and to discover the objects contained thanks to the translucent qualities of the net’s textures. The geometrical structure is made with round wooden elements.’
