Long, thin mirror plates placed side by side produce a dynamic collage of surrounding scenery in Tokujin Yoshioka’s ‘Mirage’ mirror for Italian design brand LEMA.
Mirage consists of several reflecting surfaces that can be mounted at different angles, and heights, thanks to a modular system with a special coupling system. “Each module is finished with a polishing that reminds us of classic mirror manufacturing,” says Yoshioka, “combining modernity and tradition; a complement that becomes a work of art and an innovative interpretation of a traditional piece of furnishing that is carried on with subtlety and lightheartedness.”
Mirage will be presented by LEMA at Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2013 in April.
