At Milan’s Ventura Lambrate, two German designers Hanna Krüger and Jakob Gebert have presented a number of new products in a joint exhibition called ‘The Necessity of Other’. The collection, which was predominantly realised in subdued, pastel colours, comprised several delicate pendant, wall and table light designs as well as a glassware collection designer by Krüger and launched earlier this year by Rosenthal.

Made of transparent or semi-opaque glass, these organic forms were juxtaposed with angular, geometric shelving units and a series of dining and side tables. The installation was located immediately near the entrance to Lambrate’s largest exhibiting hall on Via Massimiano 6 where some 30 international young designers and design schools showcased their most recent projects and products under one roof.
