The fourth annual Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) will welcome more than 200 designers and manufacturers from Britain and across the globe in London’s leading creative district of Clerkenwell.
Their latest designs will be showcased against the backdrop of historic Clerkenwell. The 2013 edition of the three-day festival will see a number of brands returning and new to the festival including Vitra, Knoll, Boss, Domus Tiles, Deadgood, Dare Studio, Jennifer Newman, Muuto, Magis, Zanotta, Johnson Tiles, Arper, Brintons, Royal Mosa, Foscarini, Vitamin, Holloways of Ludlow, Se London, Plumen, Sharon Marston, CDS Tiles, and more.
In addition to the exhibitions and installations, seminars, workshops and debates are also on the agenda with renowned names including Tom Dyckhoff, Patricia Urquiola, The Bouroullec Brothers, Martin Ballendat, Christophe Egret, Shin Azumi, Kirsten Zumstein, Sam Jacobs, Kim Colin and Sarah Ochioka speaking at various events.
Clerkenwell is widely acknowledged as the heart of London’s creative industries, located next to the financial district of the City, it is home to more than 2,000 architectural practices (10% of the UK’s profession) – all found amongst the area’s elegant greens, squares and historic architecture.
