The Italian furniture manufacturer Cassina has released an outdoor version of the iconic ‘LC7′ swivel chair. Originally designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928, the new ‘LC7 Outdoor’ edition is made of stainless steel and water-resistant, high tenacity polyester fabric which is available in five neutral colours.

‘An armchair made entirely from polished AISI 304 stainless steel. The internal structure and back of the seat are made out of pre-treated steel in an electroplating bath and finished in matt black. Details such as the silver welding and the use of black PVC foot ends, ensure maximum durability and reliability in all weather conditions.The cushion insert in water-draining polyurethane, has been developed is designed to make water flow through, preventing stagnation and the accumulation of liquids, mould and unpleasant odours.The back inserts are in CFC-free polyurethane foam with water-repellent coating.’
