‘Kursk’, a ceiling light by Juhana Myllykoski, is modeled on an old fashioned theatre spotlight with an iconic yoke holding the lamp housing – in this instance made of colourful blown glass.

“The translucent Kursk light gives soft light for space and it can be directed as well.” says Myllykoski. “The prototype is made of hand blown glass from Nuutajärvi and the rest of the parts are metal.” Nuutajärvi is home to Finland’s oldest glass factory.
