On the bustling Brick Lane, one of the hubs of the London Design Festival some young Norwegian designers presented their most recent works – ‘Norwegian Prototypes’. One of them is the London-based Oscar Narud who is also part of the designers group Okay Studio.
Oscar presented a collection of wooden stools and tables. The construction of the pieces is inspired by the drop down keel used for smaller sailing boats.
“The table and stools are completed by inserting the leg downwards through a gap in the table top and securing it with a wedge from underneath. Equally easy to set up and knock down to pack flat. The table and stools are part of a series exploring a range of furniture using a similar knock down construction.”
