Inger Steinnes’ ‘Dupla’, a modular tiered tray, was originally created for Den franske sal – salon de thé, the café at the Norwegian National gallery.

“Dupla is a tiered tray much like a building set.” says Steinnes. “It can be taken apart and put together again in endless combinations, making it possible to create a range of different trays from the same components.”

The set consists of a base made of Corian with an attached threaded rod in the center, a set of blocks – all in stoneware – and two plates. The top block with an integrated nut is the piece that attaches it all together.
