'Dexter' stool by Stockholm-based young designer and architect Andreas Farkas has been created in collaboration with the Swedish furniture manufacturer Lammhults

With an abundance of fresh ideas and youthful enthusiasm, it is no news that manufacturers and design houses repeatedly turn to young, up-and-coming designers when expanding or redeveloping their brands. And with a new strategy for 2011, the Swedish furniture manufacturer Lammhults did just that by inviting a number of ‘young designers who have a new approach to Lammhults’ design tradition’ to collaborate with them.

Andreas Farkas' multifunctional 'Dexter' stools can be linked together to create a new form

One of the first creatives to team up with the brand was Andreas Farkas, who designed a series of linear stools called ‘Dexter’, which were presented in the Zona Tortona during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile earlier this month. The multifunctional stools can be arranged together and their complex developing process is described by Lammhults as ‘an inspiring challenge for the company’s designers’.
