On 6 and 7 November 2010 Designers’ Saturday will be held for the thirteenth time in Langenthal, Switzerland. 71 international selected companies and 12 Cartes Blanche holders, independent designers and design colleges, will showcase projects and products within eleborate and extravagant installations – this is what the Designers’ Saturday is famous for. Find here some illustrations of the most promising exhibitions, not to mention the Architonic Concept Space III by Oskar Zieta, which will be presented for the last time at a fair.
On Designers’ Saturday the jury will assess the way in which the 71 projects have been realised and choose the best presentations to receive a D’S Award. As a new feature, the prizes are now ranked in order of merit, with a Gold, Silver and Bronze award being given. In addition, in 2010 an audience prize will be awarded for the first time. The prizegiving ceremony will take place on the occasion of Designers’ Night on the Saturday evening.
Admission tickets are obtainable at the day ticket booths at the railway station, at the central car parks and at all exhibition locations in Langenthal. They can also be purchased in advance online at www.designerssaturday.ch and from the Designers’ Saturday secretarial office. Admission for one day costs CHF 30, for the two days CHF 50.
Shuttle buses leave from the SBB station and official car parks, linking all six exhibition venues.
