With its number of disused old buildings, unbeatable low rents and its comprehensive cultural offer Leipzig is definitly one of the hubs of Germany’s creative scene.
From 29 – 31 October the 6th Designers’ Open will take place at two marvelous venues in the centre of Leipzig showcasing the newest works of almost 250 designers in the field of interior, industrial, fashion, and communication design. The exhibition is accompanied by a wide programme of lectures, film screenings and workshops.

“Also featured throughout the city of Leipzig are design exhibitions by local participants (“DO/Spots”). For the first time, the Designers’ Open fair is divided: into the sections of “DO / Market” and “DO / Industry.” “DO/Market“ predominantly addresses end-consumers and design fans. Interior and fashion design products can be purchased. The “DO/Industry“ part’s primary aim is to address professional visitors, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the local industry. Recent interior, industrial and communication design works and projects by design collectives, individual exhibitors and universities will be presented as well. On Friday night, the DO/ Jury Awards will again be presented to the three winners for their excellent design concepts.”
