‘Demetra’ is a task lamp by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for Italian lighting brand Artemide named for the Greek goddess of the harvest. Dimmable, and with an available motion sensor, a single powerful LED is mounted inside the round diffuser inside a round shade attached to adjustable arms with external tension cables.

“Naoto Fukasawa’s approach for product design is very original and his ‘Without Thought’, and ‘Design dissolving in behaviour’ are internationally supported.” says Artemide. “Fukasawa regards achieving simplicity in design as a way to achieve completeness and harmonious relationship between users, objects and environments as a purpose for design.”
