‘Cumulus’ screen by Elsa Boch

French designer Elsa Boch’s ‘Cumulus’ is a screen whose structure is reduced to the bare minimum. A simple system of magnets and a structure composed of thin metal rods allow various pieces of fabric to be moved and juxtaposed easily, revealing or concealing depending on the quantity and density of fabric it is dressed with.

“Cumulus can be subtly leafed through, in order to answer the needs of change and adaptation that are inherent to our contemporary way of living.” says Boch. “The screen is handled and metamorphosed in a very simple and pleasant fashion.”
