The signature stacked houses of illustrator Eske Kath adorn a limited edition of Danish furniture brand Engelbrechts’ popular ‘Chairik’, a stacking chair originally designed by Erik Magnussen in 1996.

Kath has created four illustrations for four different Chairik art chairs depicting his signature stacked houses in bright colours and chaotic perspectives juxtaposed against a wood background, “a tumultuous, yet strangely playful commentary on domesticity and chaos.” says Engelbrechts. “Together, the chairs create a landscape of this figurative motive, where each chair centers around a particular colour- Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The artwork is protected by the strong, smooth, matte, melamine surface that is typical of Chairik chairs.”

The Eske Kath Art chairs from Engelbrechts are available in a limited edition series that will run from the beginning of September 2013 until the end of February 2014.
