Josefswiese & Lettenviadukt by Studio Vulkan Landschaftsarchitektur

Photographer: Studio Vulkan

The design for this project was intended as a continuation of the original concept of the grounds dating back to the early 20th century. The development measures of the district called Industriequartier or Kreis 5 involved turning the arches of the Lettenviadukt into spaces accommodating shops, while using the roof above the arches as a pedestrian path running along the former railway line. The revitalisation measures also included the adaptation of the green space, Josefswiese, to the requirements of the population.

Hearing Aid: Fantoni

The main auditorium’s walls are clad with Fantoni’s 4akustik panelling, whose 5mm-hole perforation delivers superlative sound deadening. The ceiling, meanwhile, features sound-absorbing and -reflecting panels, also with an oak finish

When the architects of a new big-league conference centre in Algiers needed an acoustics partner, they turned to premium Italian manufacturer FANTONI. (text by Simon Keane-Cowell)

Design Icons In A Historical Context

Photos © Edward Beierle for Euroboden

Developer Stefan F. Höglmaier in collaboration with architect Peter Haimerl has achieved an unusual transformation of a historic farmhouse in Munich’s Alt-Riem district. Careful restoration on the one hand and a radical reinterpretation of the interior on the other also provided the perfect setting for the use of progressive Deque designer fittings by Dornbracht. Ambiente 2017: Janice Kirkpatrick Showcases Great Britain

For Ambiente 2017 British designer Janice Kirkpatrick is designing the presentation area of Great Britain, this year’s Partner Country. Ornamental patterns with typical national plants and animals create a harmonious, poetic symbolism

Traditionally, AMBIENTE has served interior architects, designers and decision-makers in contract furnishing as source of information on the latest trends for the coming year.

From 10 to 14 February, the international consumer-goods trade show in Frankfurt will offer a globally unique overview of the fields of furnishing, kitchenware and the culture of the dining table. The UK is the Partner Country for 2017, with British designer Janice Kirkpatrick curating and designing the presentation areas that will highlight the partner country’s products and exhibitors. VILLA MQ by OOA | Office O architects

Photographer: Tim Van de Velde

This spacious villa is situated in Tremelo (BE), on a large terrain surrounded by pines. The house was designed for a couple with two children, who wanted something “special”. In other occasions OOA is very conceptual in the approach of a design, here we just let it flow.

The True Talker

This spring, the city of Amsterdam is host to the European Union. On the Marineterrein politicians discuss and decide on Europe’s future, under bright artificial light, with cameras and microphones registering each and every word.

In reaction, at the nearby temporary campus FabCity, Studioninedots built with StoneCycling a pavilion with a fireplace right in the heart of it.
