Following his similarly-neat ‘Strip’ chair, the Italian architect and designer Massimo Castagna has created this linear, grid-like bookshelf suitably called ‘Cage-B.’ Manufactured by Henge, the handmade design was presented at this year’s Salone del Mobile fair in Milano and is available in a range of sizes and depths, made with heat treated and oil-finished Eucalyptus wood.
More about the design:
‘Bookcase in the form of a metal cage, fully varnished and in burnished brass, handmade using traditional methods and without using any chemical products. Comes with inbuilt supports for shelving; thick-width shelves, available in a range of sizes and depths, made with heat treated and oil-finished Eucalyptus wood (available also in different woods and in lacquered colors). The bookcase is available in a range of sizes and can be personalised for specific projects. Two depths available: 35 cm and 45 cm, various heights, shelves come in a range of depths and lengths.’
