Created especially for Chateau de la Resle hotel in Burgundy, France and commissioned by a Dutch art and design gallery Priveekollektie Comtemporary Art | Design, this simple yet functional breakfast table has been designed by an Eindhoven-based design collective De Intuïtiefabriek. Realised earlier this year, the solid oak table incorporates a number of shallow depressions intended to accommodate various serving dishes and beverage bottles.
More about the table:
‘he ‘Breakfast Buffet’ is a piece especially designed for Chateau de la Resle in France. The solid oak table top forms the core of the buffet table. Different bowls lay in depressions in the table top, offering ground to the food presented during the breakfast. Glass bell jars in several shapes and heights cover all of the bowls. An image robust but refined. This buffet forms a landscape in which food is presented at various levels, creating a strong silhouette and making the table an object in itself.’
Materials: oak wood, coated steel, porcelain and glass.
