“From the infrastructure for basic services to the structure of open architecture”, Alejandro Aravena (about the SUMMARY’s work).

In the 15th edition of the Venice Biennale, Alejandro Aravena invited us to look at new fields of action, projects that intend to improve life quality and stories of success that are worth getting to know. Thus, Samuel Gonçalves, founder of the SUMMARY studio, the youngest studio invited, was selected to present his work “infrastructure-structure-architecture” with the purpose of showing the concept behind his project Gomos System. We’ve created Edelman city – at one end there’s what we call the ‘festival space’, with an amphitheatre and café-style seating, where people come to eat, chat and be entertained. At the other end you have the main workspace, designed for people doing deep, focused work. And in between are a series of collaborative spaces, such as the main meeting room we call ‘city loft’ for its relaxed, urban, yet sophisticated feel. (more…)

This small bar in the centre of Prague offers especially tea and wine but also delicious coffee. Separately or in various even astonishing combinations. The space concept of travelling through time zones has been derived from its name „Jetlag“. Within this meaning one can “fly through” the entire world only along the whole length of the bar (15 metres). (more…)
