The design for Atelier Oï’s ‘Hive’ ottoman and tables for B&B Italia draws its inspiration from the hexagonal stones, in staggered heights, that make up Giant’s Causeway in Ireland.

‘Nidos’ assemblable furniture collection by bravo!
Chilean interiors and object designers bravo! are showing ‘Nidos’, a knock down furniture collection at Designjunction during the 2013 London Design Festival. The collection consists of a table, bench and stool that is sold unassembled and is assembled by the user after purchase.

‘Medusa, Chinita, Bellota’ lamps by Claesson Koivisto Rune for Made in Mimbre
Swedish architect-designers Claesson Koivisto Rune have created a series of woven wicker lamps for Made in Mimbre (by The Andes House, Chile) including one, ‘Medusa’, with excess lengths of wicker kept untrimmed, unlike what is usually done.

Geometric shapes were the original inspiration for Hungarian designer Gabor Kodolanyi’s ‘Avignon No.2 Dressing Table’.
‘Alcove Plume’ sofa by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra
French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have added ‘Alcove Plume’, a low-slung sofa with an emphasis on casual comfort, to Vitra’s Alcove product family.
