‘Quinque’ lamp by Micomoler
Micomoler’s ‘Quinque’, the Spanish word for oil lamp, is a contemporary object inspired by tradition and made with a focus on craft. It is based on the idea of old fashioned gas lamps and features a key that controls the light, hidden under a glass bell, recalling a small flame.

Our final two Facebook photo tours from Milan are of the 15th edition of Salone Satellite, an exhibition of “the most promising young designers from all over the world” says show organizer Cosmit. Of note, much of what is presented are prototypes seeking producers, and many of the participating designers go on to eventually become important figures in the world of design. Enjoy!
