Thomas Feichtner’s ‘Tram’ chair for TON is strongly inspired by the Czech company’s time-honored production processes (TON is one of the world’s oldest furniture producers at 150 years): first by the company’s own plant for the production of seat shells from molded wood, and second by its longstanding factory for the production of classic bentwood.

‘Mikado’ cupboard by Front for Porro

At the upcoming Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italian design brand Porro will be showing a stand designed by Piero Lissoni, an open-plan ‘villa’ with flowing spaces with a unifying theme, the play of solids and voids. One of the new products to be shown in that stand illustrates the theme well, the ‘Mikado’ cupboard by Sweden’s Front Design.
