‘T90′ desk by Osvaldo Borsani reissued by Tecno

Originally designed in 1954, the ‘T90′ writing desk by Osvaldo Borsani has recently been reedited and reissued by Tecno – a company the Italian designer and architect founded, along with his brother Fulgenzio Borsani, in 1953. Characterised by clean straight lines and delicately curved top, ‘T90′ is available in elegant canaletto walnut or dark grey lacquer. (more…)

‘Link’ chair by Markus Krauss

Three tubular steel parts are jointed at only one point to form this somewhat unusual, pared-down chair. Realised by a Hamburg-based designer Markus Krauss, ‘Link’ was presented earlier in April at Salone del Mobile’s Salone Satellite in two colourways: a toned-down, white-and-pastel blue model and an opalescent gold version. ‘Aura’ sofa by Mikko Laakkonen for Inno

Helsinki-based designer Mikko Laakkonen has realised this boldly-coloured two-seater sofa for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Inno. Due to be presented next month at the upcoming edition of Habitare design fair (12 – 16 September), the upholstered ‘Aura’ features a simple, exposed steel frame and a raised back for increased privacy. The design, which can also serve as a room divider, is available in multiple colourways. (more…)

A Polish architectural practice Moomoo Architects have completed this single-storey minimalist house located in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik. Uniformly white, the detached development features two fully-glazed walls and a terrace wall ‘which was pulled from the house and bended in a way that it looks like it came out from the landscape.’ (more…)

‘Cordula’ floor lamp by Stephanie Jasny

Inspired by the form of an ordinary cable reel, a young Munich-born designer Stephanie Jasny has realised this small floor lamp called ‘Cordula.’ The light features a seven-meters-long cable that can be conveniently looped around the steel body of the design while the pivot jont enables the light to be rotated and positioned at various angles. Conceived as part of Jasny’s graduate project back in 2009, ‘Cordula’ has since been put into production by the French furniture manufacturer Ligne Roset. (more…)
